Still a Selling Job

Resting in my BPO office, I reminisced the days when I exclusively handled the supply of a certain brand of accessories needed by a company that manufactured water closets, ceramic tile, urinals and bathroom sinks. I was able to convince the bosses of the firm that I can give them the best deal and the deal was closed. For more than a year, the company got all their supply from yours truly and I had a great time. Now in BPO, I don’t have the need to go around and trying to sell my products to different people but still, I do a lot of selling. How? That’s the topic of some future posts.

The Tax Collector is Coming

The BPO office that I went to today was looking for a receipt printer and I pointed them in the proper direction. AH1N1 degraded

With the Philippine government declaring that the dreaded AH1N1 virus strain in the country being relatively mild and dangerous only to people with pre existing conditions, I am taking the cue and prepare to go on a shopping trip. My daughter needs equestrian apparel and there is just isn’t enough stock to choose from in this country. Anyway, it’s good that the virus doesn’t seem to be as bad as we feared it is. The BPO industry is one of the few bright spots in this country and communicable diseases is just not welcome at this point.

Philippine BPO ready for AH1N1

After being AH1N1 free for what seemed like eternity, the virus made a heavy assault and has created intensive damage. It spread itself in one barangay and it's a good thing that the strain in the country seems relatively mild.

The country's call center industry that houses at one employee for every couple of meters, the thought that an employee would get infected sends shivers down a lot of people's spine. Not to worry, says the industry, "It is prepared".

BPO Parties

In this year’s company party, I am hoping that we will be able to afford holding a party in one of the Westgate resorts. Thousands of our employees are always looking forward to the company’s annual party and being able to come out with a good one is always a challenge for those assigned to do it. Let’s hope that this year will be a good one.
