Province Based Philippine Call Centers Losing Talent to City Based Firms

Of course, the market will dictate the price of every commodity. Some entrepreneurs have this idea that they can settle in poor provinces and make a killing by paying the locals low salaries. What they fail to realize is that word goes around fast and these local talents learn that their counterparts are getting paid a few times their take home pay. Unsurprisingly, the skilled talents leave for higher paying firms.

Will Obama be able to stop outsourcing?

The appreciation of the US dollar against the Philippine peso is a blast of fresh air for the Philippine outsourcing industry. With most employees getting being paid in the local currency and the companiescollecting in US dollars, the ForEx decline had made the business a bit more profitable.

This means that companies can possibly lower their prices to maintain their existing clients and even gain new ones. The US market remains the largest target of the outsourcing companies that are based offshore and Obama’s inclination to provide incentives to those who provide jobs inside the US territory will probably be a hurdle for some companies. Overall, however, there will be no stopping the outsourcing of jobs. The return that it gives to the outsourcers is so tremendous that the only way to reverse this outsourcing trend is to physically ban it.

Year End Deadlines

With the year coming to an end, it is once again time for outsourcing companies to solicit and produce the best health insurance quote for their thousands of employees. These outsourcing companies have tens of thousands of employees apiece and in my opinion, most of them can be considered as high risk individuals. Being mostly young makes them heavy partygoers and their irregular work hours makes them navigate the dangerous highways at night. The company that is a day late in renewing its insurance policies is putting itself and its employees in grave danger.

Thursday Thoughts...

This year, I was lucky to have watched the results, coverage, admissions as well as the victory speech while comfortably slouched inside my audio visual room of my mom’s house that also had fine home theater seating. US elections are always worthwhile watching on the closing days. More importantly, gentlemanly admissions of defeat and rallying calls to unite behind the winner are always worthwhile observing and taught as fine examples of leadership to kids.

Having said that, may I add that there are fears that Obama will deal outsourcing a serious blow. Don't worry about it, if I were you. America will move towards the path of competitiveness and wealth. If we believe that outsourcing is good for the outsourcer, we should also not lose hope that the world's biggest outsourcing client will continue to patronize outsourcing.
