While most companies require business attire to be worn inside company premises, I have experienced being in Japanese companies where employees are allowed to wear slippers as they walk around the office. I realize the comfort of having relaxed feet inside the office but visitors might not be so at home with the idea of seeing people in business suits and matching slippers. The solution for me is Dansko footwear which is comfortable, elegant and inexpensive. With that piece of footwear, I can comfortably strut from one meeting to another, not look awkward and actually appear very hip.
