Cigar Tester- Yeah!

There’s this Financial Times article about a dream job for a lot of us- A cigar tester! He is required to puff every day and gets handsomely paid to do it! Well, I would be thrilled to be hired by oliva cigars to do the same. I have developed a taste for the brand since I first tried it and my only problem is that the brand is not very accessible where I live – Up there in the boondocks! Ha ha!

Even Small Firms Benefit From Outsourcing

Some people thinks that outsourcing provides great benefit only to big companies. That is very wrong.

In the case of my friend, he owns a small start up firm and he benefits a lot by using a secretarial service to answer his calls and taking messages. He also dispenses with his in house accountant by outsourcing it to an accounting firm.

With those things professionally taken care of at very low cost, he is able to focus on his primary thrust and make money for his company.

Dean Markley

Watching and listening to Santana on YouTube, especially when they camera closes in on his guitar strings, remind me of Dean Markley. His guitar strings are world famous and the sound that it emits is distinctly crisp, making it probably one of the best in the world. If Santana isn’t using his guitar strings yet, he probably should start begging the guy to do so for it will bring him wider recognition.

Wonderful Instruments

I do not know the brand of Santana’s instrument but I think, the quality of ibanez guitar would make the cut. Last year, I dined in a Spanish resto and I thought that the in house musician’s guitar looked a bit old. It turned out that the design was really intended to make the instrument like that. No wonder the sound was topnotch despite what seemed to be an old look.

All souls day practices

In this day of the dead, let us talk a bit about the Mexican practice of bringing food to the cemetery and putting it by the departed’s tomb. Mexicans believe that the dead comes back once a year to visit their surviving relatives and that explains the food that is offered. In the Philippines, some people practice a similar custom and some even pour liquor on glass together with the food offering.

Banjo for Carlos

Listening to the music of the great Carlos Santana, I am amazed at the way he strums his guitar and the kind of sound that comes out of it. However, I think it would sound more unique his band will add the banjo in the list of instruments that they will play. His unique music combined with exotic instruments will result to a wonderful sound that will be the envy of more people.

Hmmn...

My previous post about impromptu or once a year bands made me search YouTube for possible music that I would want to play if I will be a member of a group that will perform in the company Christmas party. There are a lot of songs that I found that will probably make a Christmas party very lively. Now, what if I am indeed asked to play this year?

Impromptu Bands

Starting this month, I expect a rise in the sale of MXR Pedals, guitars, drum sets and many other musical instruments as employees reorganize their once a year bands to perform for their own company’s annual Christmas parties. After that, I still expect the sales of the same products to continue until February of the following year as many other people become inspired and energized to start playing their own musical pieces.

Count your Blessings

It is already the month of November and a lot of companies will be soon be busy preparing for their annual Christmas parties. Life has never been so good for most people despite all the calamities that came to a lot places this year.

My advice for people in despair is that they should count their blessings. Those who are sick should be thankful of the challenges and that there is hope. Those whose loved ones have gone should be happy that their beloveds are now in a better place and resting. Those who are in poverty should only look at those who are in worse condition to be happy.

Employers' rights

Would you believe that a lot of employers actually conduct background checks on their applicants? Why not? Every employer has the right to know what kind of people they are accepting into their fold. Trade secrets are going to be exposed if they make a simple bad hiring decision. Business owners put in blood, sweat and a lot of tears in order to become successful. It is not the right of outsiders to wreck any honest man’s business.

Matchbox!!

Speaking of Matchbox 20’, the idea of posting that video in the other post came since I have been planning to title a post with “Free World”. I immediately remembered an old favorite of mine and decided to share it with you. For those who are curious, scroll down a bit and find that video.

The internet has made the entire planet as the market of every online store that it has become easy for a lot of good audio books download mp3 to be distributed for free. A lot of bestselling novels for instance are being given for free with no strings attached.
