Music's Technical Side

A friend who plays in a band uses an Ibanez Tube Screamer. Seeing him for the first time use it made me realize that good music is not just a mixture of excellent singers and guitar players. There are actually a lot of technical matters associated with it. A venue for playing music should be well selected for good acoustics and if the venue happens to be far from ideal, the band and crew should do soothing about it. Otherwise, music will not be enjoyed the way both the band and the audience wants to.

Call Center Stories: 1

This story is NOT AT ALL unique to call centers or other outsourcing facilities but is worth retelling anyway.

Two young employees of a call center in India was nabbed for possession of a stolen motorcycle. During police interrogation, it was found out that the two work late nights in a call center and steal vehicles early in the morning and sells it for scrap to finance an expensive lifestyle.

Geesh!

I were them, i'd just sleep during the day time in order to avoid spending any money and just report back at night to work. In a few years, I would have save d a lot of money to start a business or simply send the money to a good bank for asset management.

Christmas is coming!

Christmas is fast approaching and as I look at our led pool lights, I am reminded to start thinking of Christmas lights and other decors that I have to buy for the office. Will I buy huge socks for Santa? Will I buy bigger mistletoe for more kisses this Christmas party? I don’t know.. I will probably ask around for the people’s sentiments before making a decision.

Lot's of em'

Last night, I went up to our office roof deck to quietly enjoy a cigar. It was then when I noticed that most of our neighboring buildings host call centers and other types of business process outsourcing companies. A lot of people in the neighboring buildings are busy working despite the lateness of the hour. Well, that's what BPO's do. They do some work that are needed by people in the US by the time they wake up the day after.

Sometimes, my long working hours in air conditioned rooms make my feet swollen. My home remedy for that is to wear incredibrace. Somehow, those nice looking and comfortable footwear prevents further swelling and perhaps, even pushes out the fluids causing the swelling.

There’s nothing much I can do with my long work schedule since it brings a lot of food into the table so I simply have to deal with the swelling problem using my innovative mind.

Outsourcing Cops

I was reading an article about a town looking forward to outsourcing their local government's HR department when another headline caught my attention. The same town's local cops has just arrested a serial rapist who terrorized his victims with the aid of a toy gun. I said to myself; "Hey, why not outsource a town's police department?"
