Technology Crosses Language Barriers

Do you know that the word “Camcorders” has a direct French translation? It’s Caméscopes. In its singular form, camcorder in French is spelled also without the letter “S” hence, Caméscope. Anyway, technology knows no boundaries so with or without a direct language translation, good things will reach the hands of the consumers at great speed. I remember when the CD rom was introduced into the global market. The French coined the equivalent which I cannot accurately recall. Searching the net, I found "DISQUE COMPACT-ROM" as the French translation.

Bulk Rates Baby!

Since it’s the time to renew a lot of people’s job contracts, I have to look for ways to entice my call center operators to stay. Too much monetary benefits may not be so good for the company so I have to look for other things like offering a cheap car insurance package for employees who will renew their contracts. That does not cost me anything for I can get bulk or fleet rates from insurance providers and simply transfer it to my employees.

Hardware Salesman

Would you believe that I used to sell Baldwin hardware before moving into the outsourcing industry? I did very well then, since Baldwin is a prime brand and is not difficult to sell. However, by some twist of fate, I encountered people who did very well as outsourcing entrepreneurs and since I have long been dreaming of becoming a businessman, I decided to resign and join the BPO bandwagon. Needless to say, it was one good decision.

Presents for my employees

In my town, there’s this small shop that sells Personalized Jewelry. It does everything from cheap to expensive metal and it’s not uncommon to see people in my town wearing necklaces with their names on it. I’m wondering now if it’s a good idea to order customized but inexpensive necklaces with my staffs names and give it to them as my Christmas present.

Employee Give Away

For BPO employees working and leaving in cold areas, like Bagiuo for instance, it would be good to give heated mattress pads to keep them comfortable during this season. These personal items, when provided by an employer as a mass gift to employees is like a parents act of caring for his children. I am almost sure that it will be appreciated by most employees.
