The Importance of Airtight Contracts

The current global financial crisis is expected to result to among others, a number of uncollected receivables by outsourcing companies. It is a good thing that there are debt collection agencies that can be of help, right where the erring clients are.

Outsourcing companies are mostly located offshore and with such distance, an errant client becomes difficult to collect money from. The solution comes in the form of airtight contracts that should include the outsourcing company’s choice location in the event of litigation. With such properly executed contracts, the job of collection agencies should become easy.

Holiday Thoughts

My new work in the outsourcing industry allows me to take vacations but not missing deadlines. All I need is my sd card that stores my work in progress. My laptop is optional equipment since most hotels provide pc’s. If not, there are always internet cafes where one can easily commander a computer with broadband connection. Crisis or not, life goes on. One has to work harder than ever but need not miss on the annual vacation for quality time with the family.

Gift idea

In a visit to an outsourcing company today, I ran into one of the few fat managers in the industry. You see, managers of outsourcing companies do a lot of walking during their shift and an out of shape manager if quite a rarity. I could have sent him a box of Leptovox as a Christmas gift but I hesitated. He might consider it as an insult and I don’t want any unhappy client.

Good Business

The race for the distinction of being the best diet pill is probably one of the hottest events of this decade. Obesity has never been an issue as big as it is now. At the same time, looking thin is a fad that will probably remain for a very long time. People wanting to lose weight and attain society’s acceptable level of physical beauty is at an all time high and imagine the profits waiting for the best weight loss formula. At the call centers alone, thousands are gaining a lot of weight from the irregular work hours and tempting free juice drinks that selling these diet pills is good business.

Outsourcing can be a life saving option

Is the company losing or barely breaking even? How much is your payroll and utilities bill? For a lot of firms, it only takes outsourcing for several years of financial hardships evaporate. For other companies, Research and Development costs are so high but they only need to move their R & D departments to neighboring countries where the costs are low and voila, they are back in the game.

Don't rule out outsourcing just because some people are emotional about it. Take out your calculators and use it.

You'll know what I am talking about.

Luxury Brands

I wouldn’t be surprised if we suddenly see a surge in sales of fine Audemars Piguet watches. Just like surge in sales of Jaguar’s top of the line sedans during the last recession, sale of fine luxury brands are expected to grow as the rich become richer and some smart people capitalize on diversity and converts it to opportunities. The next time I post, I will include screen shots of my new watch.

Good Days

Now that the rental prices have generally gone down very drastically gone down, employees of outsourcing companies can now afford better housing. In the Outer Banks, for instance, one can get decent vacation homes inexpensively, something that was quite hard to imagine during the times of economic boom. Since the outsourcing companies in the US mainland are expected to largely gain during times like this, it is probably good for the employees of outsourcing companies to share the blessings by spending some of it and providing employment to a few others.

Economic Notes

The current crisis plaguing the United States has created opportunities in wholesale electronics. Imagine 120 GB iPods now selling for $120 per piece. It has been determined that some countries will not be hit as badly as the United States. Therefore, consumer spending is expected to remain high and selling gadgets that are in fashion will remain a good business. Let us hope that consumers will use their money instead of hoarding it in order to keep the trade levels high enough to provide income for everybody. Hoarding money will only sink the economy.

Philippine Outsourcing Industry Very Cautious

Some are experiencing a slowdown as a result of the US economic slowdown but there are those that are increasing their business. As I have mentioned before, lesser economic activity could mean lesser business to outsource but on the other hand, it may also mean bigger cost saving measures in the US.

Bigger cost saving means, increased level of outsourcing.

Philippine-based outsourcing giants are now feeling effects of the US recession with some companies seeing a slowdown in demand for services, particularly on medical transcription and animation, industry executives said.

Sign up incentives for outsourcing companies

Outsourcing companies offer a number of sign up and referral incentives like cash, cellular phones and Apple iPods but one probable good idea is to offer auto insurance subsidies to people who drive their own cars. A number of call center agents are new graduates of top universities in Manila and they drive their own cars. Being left on their own to pay their bills, annual car insurance subsidies or loans will be an attractive incentive for prospective employees.

Christmas Gifts

Despite the bans on bringing my memory stick and other recording device inside BPO facilities, I still like to give away these practical devices to my friends, employees and clients this Christmas. These devices are so wonderful that it makes traveling while loaded with work data very convenient. The laptops can become such a nuisance when traveling but these portable memory drives are so wonderful. Try having one and experience the difference.

Outsourcing is Good

In my opinion, the outsourcing of US jobs is nothing but minor skin breaks. It doesn’t harm the body and all it needs is good acne treatment. These jobs are being outsourced simply because it is not worth the top dollar that it is being paid for in the US mainland. These outsourcing of jobs will mean that there will be enough labor left to take care of better things like technology upgrades and higher valued services. In the long run, it will be good for the economy.

Outsource Technology To Reverse Global Warming

These holiday season, snowmobile exhaust is one of the things that we will be dealing with. But if Al Gore is to correct, snow covered mountains will become a thing of the past, should the people fail to reverse global warming. Now that we are talking about the environment, let us dabble a bit about our automobile industry, one of the main sources of emission. Had they built their cars as well as the Japanese, they would have been able to sell more cars and dominate the industry. Why not outsource car technology, the way Asian’s do?

How to Prevent Outsourcing

Those who wet their beds at night while dreaming that their jobs will be outsourced should try their kid’s crib bedding. Come day time, they should find ways on how they can become more effective and productive thus making their bosses think twice. Outsourcing is all about increased productivity and lesser costs. If the same or higher levels of productivity at much lower costs can be attained, no amount of nationalistic talk can stop it. That is the truth, plain and simple.
